In Malcolm Gladwell’s book, Outliers, he indicates that a person must spend at least 10,000 hours practicing a skill in order to become proficient at it.
I started playing guitar in August 2010 and if I’m lucky, I get 45-60 minutes of practice 4 or 5 days a week. If you do the math, you’ll realize that it’s going to take me many years to reach 10,000 hours.
